A CALL FOR PROPOSAL AND INVITATION TO SMILE BIDDERS’ CONFERENCE

 

CRS Nigeria is currently leading a  USAID funded  Orphans and Vulnerable children (OVC) Umbrella Grant Mechanism known as Sustainable Mechanism for Improving Livelihoods and Household Empowerment (SMILE) program in consortium with ActionAid Nigeria and Westat. This 5 year program is designed to scale-up care and support for vulnerable children and caregivers in 5 states of Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa, Edo and FCT.

The program is currently in the third year of implementation and is expanding its services in 3 states namely Benue, Nasarawa and FCT. CRS Nigeria and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MWASD) in Benue, Nasarawa and FCT Social Development Secretariat are, therefore, pleased to announce a call for proposal from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in these states interested in becoming sub-receipts under the program.

Eligibility: Interested CSOs must have at least three years of experience in OVC service delivery and must be legally registered in Nigeria before January 1st, 2012.

The RFA describes the program objectives, explains the technical area of focus, qualifications of organizations applying, criteria for evaluating applications and provides information on funding, application format and other relevant information.

Objective of the Bidders Conference

  • To discuss the SMILE program and the various components of the Request for Application (RFA) that CSO are expected to respond to
  • To provide applicants opportunity to seek clarifications on how to apply as sub-grantees
  • To explain the technical focus, eligibility criteria, evaluation of proposals, funding rounds and other relevant information

 

Participants are responsible for their participation costs including travel to and from the venue as well as other associated costs.

Completed proposals in response to the RFA must be received by the 6th of November 2015.
